PIT STOP is a health initiative for MEN - the Pit Stop crew will check if you are Roadworthy. Did you know that men are the sickest group after our Aboriginal population? Well, come to the Cruise, sign up for the Pit Stop and make sure YOU are Roadworthy! We know you love to keep your cars roadworthy - make sure your body is roadworthy too! PIT STOP will be provided free of charge by Rotary District 9520 Group 4 Clubs:
- Rotary Club of Yankalilla
- Rotary Club of Victor Harbor
- Rotary Club of Encounter Bay
- Rotary Club of Goolwa
- Rotary Club of McLaren Vale
Men are invited to participate and measure their roadworthiness i.e. health status by running through a series of stations (health checks).Participants register for the Pit Stop and proceed through the stations.
The stations are staffed by 'health mechanics' (ie: doctors and nurses). Once participants have completed all stations, their Work Order form is assessed. To pass the pits, participants must have passed the majority of stations. When achieved participants are presented with a ‘Registration’ sticker declaring their body is a ‘hot machine, licensed and road-worthy’. If they fail more than two individual stations, they are presented a ‘Work Order’ sticker that requires the participant to undergo some tune-ups before they are considered road-worthy.
This is a roadworthy check by men for men!
